The Chastain Park Arts Festival is a two-day outdoor event with an emphasis on the visual arts. Located in the largest public park in Fulton County, we set out with many different goals in mind: 1) Give back to the community through art; 2) Create a venue that emphasizes local and Georgian artists, so they have a show they can depend on in their own back yard; 3) Bring a festival to the folks in the northern part of Fulton county; 4) Create a festival for Artists by Artists, letting the artist have a voice in the creation and operations of the festival; 5) Create a show unlike any other in the City of Atlanta, bringing together outstanding local, regional and national artists.
The Chastain Park area is rich with one of the largest and most enthusiastic art-buying communities in the Atlanta area. This event will feature up to 185 fine painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craft persons, glass blowers, jewelers and more! The Festival will also offer visitors the opportunity to view artist demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment, participate in hands-on art activities, and enjoy festival foods and beverages.
The Festival benefits a scholarship fund for local artists administered by the Georgia Foundation for Public Spaces.

May-Retta Daze is a two-day art, crafts & music outdoor festival held annually, the first weekend in May at the Historic Marietta Square. The festival features exhibitors and artists showcasing handmade goods including painting, pottery, woodwork, metal, glass, fabric, soap, candles and more. In addition to a wide variety of arts & crafts, the Music Festival will showcase various live acoustic musical performances from local artists throughout both days. There is something for everyone with festival food, kid's zone and live music. Since its founding, the Roswell Recreation Association has worked tirelessly to raise money to support the Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department. Among its first projects, the Association built Roswell’s first tennis courts, a little league field, and paid part of the salary for Roswell’s first Recreation and Park Director’s salary.  In 1966, the Association began the Roswell Arts Festival, the first arts festival held north of the Chattahoochee River, as a way to promote arts in Roswell and raise funds for recreation and parks in Roswell. 

The Roswell Arts Festival has been so successful; it is the only fundraising initiative of the Association.  Over the years, the more than $1 million raised have been used to help purchase park land, playground equipment, spraygrounds, meditative gardens, and many other projects that have benefitted residents of all ages in Roswell.
